My husband and I have so enjoyed your wonderful, fresh and tasty vegetables. I have never had heads of lettuce like you folks can grow! Your other vegetables so out rank what you can buy at the grocery store. We have our own garden, but supplement from your “store” the things we do not grow. It is like I get to go to a super nice Farmer’s Market every Tuesday. With all your veggies set out on display, I can just shop and pick up what I need or want that week. You service has truly been an asset to my family and something to look forward to each week. I referred a friend to you and she has also been very happy with the produce she has purchased. Which brings up another point – it is nice to pay ahead for the season and then just go pick up what I want. No hassle about paying each time. We have really enjoyed our shares with Finley's Fresh Produce. One thing unique about Finley's approach is that instead of receiving a pre-selected box every week, the shareowners get to hand-pick their shares. It allows shareowners to try something new in a portion size that makes sense for them. Every week, we take our two sons (ages 9 and 6) and they help us pick out our shares. They have become really adventurous eaters as a result of this family tradition because they are the ones picking out the food for the week. This year they have even started preparing the produce they hand selected.

My family delights in what I bring home every week from Finley's Fresh Produce. They can't wait to see what delicious vegetables or melons that I chose for our dinners that week. Although I love the freshness and the taste of my vegetables, what I get the most satisfaction out of knowing, when I hear on the news about contaminated produce, is where mine comes from and that my family is safe in eating it. And since it is locally grown, I know I can go out and look at the fields myself.

I wanted to let you know how much Mike and I enjoyed our first year as CSA customers. As vegetarians, getting our weekly basket of just picked fruits and vegetables was something I looked forward to every week. The weekly recipes and letter of what was in the basket was a great way to keep us informed. As the season came to a close, the realization that I was going to have to purchase our fruits and vegetables from the local grocery stores was not something I was looking forward to. Participating in CSA has made me very aware of how old the produce is in our local grocery stores and how important it is to eat foods grown locally.

When we first signed up, I wasn’t sure that I spent $25 a week on vegetables and I wondered if the CSA program would be a good fit for us. What we experienced was that rarely did we have a need to go to the grocery store as we ate what was in the basket for the week. When I did go to the grocery store it wasn’t for produce. During this time we saw prices in the store increasing almost weekly. We found that overall we spent far less on food and ate better. We found eating fresh produce, we actually consumed less and improved our nutrition.

As a family of two we had plenty of produce to share with our friends and family who now seek out your produce. We enjoyed eating what was in season as we were introduced to vegetables that we had never eaten before through our CSA program.

WOW! We were thoroughly impressed with the spectacular fresh produce that you made available to us during the 2008 growing season. We took advantage of your CSA program for our home use as well as for our business, Rose Arbor Assisted Living Community. The taste, look, & texture of "just out of the garden" produce was superb, and we loved the wide variety of your offerings. The recipes you included each week were very helpful, & the ones I tried were wonderful. We often entertain on a large scale on the weekends, and it was such fun to WOW everyone with a huge platter of colorful, flavorful roasted veggies straight from your garden. The pickup location was convenient as well. You can be sure that both we and Rose Arbor plan to take full advantage of your CSA program again in 2009.
